Personally, I’ve always had a hard time shopping for handbags—and even more so, for the best designer bags. After all, if I’m going to spend a hefty amount of my paycheck on something, I need to know it’ll be in my closet for a good amount of time. And then comes the question, “What bag feels like me?” The first time I bought a designer bag, I crowd-searched among my most fashionable peers to see what they had bought and why (I landed on a Chanel flap bag with a pearl chain, if you’re curious).

Perhaps you’re also the type of shopper who wants insider advice because, well, why not? With that in mind, I’ve taken it upon myself to be your personal insider and research the best designer bags—including plenty that fall right in line with the best summer 2023 bag trends—so you can make a sound choice with your purchase. If you haven’t familiarized yourself with Bottega’s latest It bag, it’s time to get acquainted. This celebrity-approved tote is perfect for everyday use. And, according to our records, it’s become a favorite designer bag among ELLE readers (like you!) over the past few months.
